Inacio Carlos Urban started Fazenda Rio Brilhante in 1984 with just a single plot of land. Decades later, alongside his sons, that vision has grown into one of Brazil’s most respected farms. They have earned recognition for ethical practices and traceability, including Rainforest Alliance certification and top placements in regional quality competitions.
Located in Minas Gerais, the farm benefits from ideal conditions for natural processing. Carefully calibrated mechanical harvesting allows for selective picking of ripe cherries, followed by density sorting to isolate the best lots. The coffee is then dried in controlled stages to preserve sweetness, body, and clarity.
They have mastered scaling production without losing sight of precision, sustainability, and cup quality. The result is a smooth, candylike cup with notes of grape, light brown sugar, and a creamy finish. A classic Brazilian profile, elevated through intention.
